Abstract: The article examines the factors associated with gender disparity among patients with bladder cancer in the United States with reference to various studies conducted on the subject, based on Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results data. Topics discussed include disparities among female bladder cancer patients involving timely evaluation and diagnosis; assessment of microscopic hematuria; and the use of treatment modalities for patients with muscle- and nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer.
