Article Title: Malignant cerebral edema following cranioplasty
Abstract: Malignant cerebral edema following cranioplasty is a very rare and devastating complication. We present a case of postoperative death following cranioplasty due to malignant cerebral edema. Similar cases and possible pathogenesis are discussed. This fearsome complication should be discussed with the patients and their families as part of the informed consent procedure.
