Article Title: Role of nurse practitioners in providing care for adolescent females.
Abstract: Nurse practitioners have a pivotal role in caring for adolescent females, especially in regard to the unique needs of this patient group, and can help educate them about what is needed to live a healthy life. This article discusses guidelines from the Women's Preventive Services Initiative on preventive adolescent well-woman care, including recommendations for routine health maintenance, lifestyle risk reduction, and specific guidelines for reproductive and sexual health.
